Using Your Personal Certificate

After retrieving your signed certificate you must first export your certificate from your web browser before you can use it with Globus. See the links on the left for details on how to export your certificate from your web browser.

Once your certificate and private key are exported from your browser you may find the following Globus GSI tools useful:

Note: Before using these tools it is helpful to make sure that the environment variable GLOBUS_LOCATION is defined, and then execute

source $GLOBUS_LOCATION/etc/globus-user-env.sh
in your Bourne or Bash shell, or
source $GLOBUS_LOCATION/etc/globus-user-env.csh
in your Csh or tcsh.
